Amtrak is cutting 20% of its workforce in October to kick off its new fiscal year.
I know The Hartford is looking at “cost optimization” now as well. It’s expense ratio is too high. One way the company is doing this is with, you guessed, AI!
Who needs insurance adjusters (humans who get paid) when the customer can just download an app, take pictures, and have an AI program assess what the payout should be?
One person’s cost cutting is another’s livelihood. Lots of cost cutting gonna happen over the remainder of this year.
