For my two cents, we should reopen entirely, with the regulatory environment, I mentioned, and look for the people as a whole to find the stasis, the angle of repose, that makes the best sense out of the competing Blue and Red values. It won't be perfect - but I think it is inevitable, and we might as well get on with it.

In any case, the suggestion is that as a sociological matter - not medical - we may well have hit an irreducible minimum. It's possible we can't do any better with enforced social distancing than we have done.

I think the Blues should support this policy, given the predictable reduction in Red voters when this policy comes to pass... ;).  I make zee small joke.
