This seems eminently sensible. To be honest, I'm somewhat hopeful they make this a permanent change; having spent a fair amount of time in higher ed, I've always found the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas to be of such marginal use anyway. And if finals can be administered remotely, there really is no good reason to come back to campus after Thanksgiving. For both financial and public health reasons, the less people have to shuttle back and forth across the country, the better.
