I understand in many Asian cities living space is so impossibly limited that an hour in a plexiglass bubble outside of home sounds appealing, but a Stanford dorm "single" will be a better place for sure. Eating outside and even eating in a car would also be better IMHO.
Sadly, all of those options would still mean eating isolated or alone. Which would be a tough way to spend an academic quarter at Stanford.
