Am I the only one who is skeptical that masks in a classroom with class participation will work? I've been doing some socially distanced walks with friends where we wear masks and stay six feet apart outside, and we're basically shouting at one another in order to be understandable. (And to be honest, when we're in parts of the park where no one else is around, we lower our masks and stand farther apart than 6 feet, because it's just tedious to try to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard in the course of an hour-long conversation.)
Given that, I can't imagine trying to parse a difficult text and give an eloquent 1-2 minute reaction while screaming into a mask. And how should the instructor enunciate loudly and clearly enough to be heard 50 feet across the room? Will they put a mic inside the mask?
