Back whenever there was a lively Current Affairs Board on The Boot. Got very political and many posters left. The Mods axed the CEB and created T Dome 

That's slightly incorrect. The Thunderdome was created long before the CEB was axed -- though the CEB did predate the Thunderdome significantly, if I recall correctly.

The axing of the CEB and not the Thunderdome was mystifying to me because the obnoxious people who ruined the CEB (or took it downhill) were mostly Thunderdomers. But rather than shutting down the Thunderdome RJ shut down the CEB instead. It had gone down hill a bit but was still vastly more reasonable than the Thunderdome. So the logic behind the shuttering of the CEB (and leaving open the Dome) never made any sense to me.

With that said, I am sorry to see the Thunderdome go. I wasn't a fan of it, but I'm less of a fan of censorship. And there were still some decent discussions there even if it was heavily populated by some members with sycophantic and cultish tendencies.
