The injustice inspiring the protest has killed far more citizens than this virus will ever be able to kill.   So if a few thousand more die to raise awareness of our nation's original sin then that will be an acceptable sacrifice for many fighting that cause.

Some people may applaud that statement; some may find it horrific, but it is irrefutable that it is NOT a statement of scientific principle.

I dunno, it seems to be a self-evident conclusion that hundreds of thousands of protesters are taking their chances with covid in order to make their case known to politicians, and that their lives would be an acceptable sacrifice for the cause.
