In Minnesota, it looks like the rate of positive tests among people who were at protests (1.4%) is below the state average. I thought this caution from the state department of health was wise:

Still, in the back of my mind I was concerned that there might be a super-spreader event at the protests. While the event was outdoors, it still brought together a lot of people, many in close proximity not wearing masks. Its reassuring (so far, though I will await more data) that we won't see a of immense proportions spike, and I think it bodes well for other outdoor activities of all types.
