In Minnesota, it looks like the rate of positive tests among people who were at protests (1.4%) is below the state average.  I thought this caution from the state department of health was wise:

Kris Ehresmann, state Department of Health director of infectious disease, said there were not enough results to draw firm conclusions about the impact of the mass gatherings on Minnesota’s coronavirus outbreak. She said the rate is expected to be somewhat lower than other large-scale testing because there wasn’t initial evidence that a lot of the people who attended the protests were already sick and would spread the coronavirus.

Still, in the back of my mind I was concerned that there might be a super-spreader event at the protests.  While the event was outdoors, it still brought together a lot of people, many in close proximity not wearing masks.  Its reassuring (so far, though I will await more data) that we won't see a of immense proportions spike, and I think it bodes well for other outdoor activities of all types.

People are probably further apart at Stanford football games than at the protests...

Yeah. I've been harping on that outdoor transmission issue for a while. All of the past evidence has been that outdoor spread is a lot less common.
