While I get your point, Trump was non-responsive to the impeachment trial. He didn't testify. He didn't answer questions. He didn't allow anyone in the administration to testify. And his Republican colleagues shielded him from having any witnesses at all called. His acquittal was a foregone conclusion. So, the guy should have been able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Plus, it's not like there wasn't any precedent for a President getting impeached. Maybe he should have learned something.

Maybe he did – it’s the economy stupid. Which is probably part of the reason he reacted so slowly. In any event I’m done. My point is not the Trump handled this well - he didn’t. My point is that to put all this on Trump is simplistic and absurd. We have a precedent – and that’s Katrina. Where Bush got all the blame heaped upon him. When in fact there again was plenty of blame to go around Federal state local media etc.
