I too thought we would have a nice unifying theme, the small silver lining in this cloud.

Trump could have done that, as his tweets give him the bully pulpit. However, the media would have opposed him every step of the way. They've been promoting Trump the Demon for three years. Trump could have, and should have, risen above. But some rising was required. The NYT was never in good faith.

Trump's press secretary was asked today "Is President Trump disappointed that the South lost the Civil War?"  Truly, the Golden Age of the Media.

I think we're running afoul of the Terry Rule here, folks.

Well, let me bring it back.  Because of the miserable performance of our elected officials during the COVID-19 pandemic and given our Federal underinvestment in health care (encompassing everything including the CDC), I fully believe that some form of universal health care will be enacted by the new President.  That President will be reacting to the wishes of the Progressive arm of his party and it will be fully encouraged by the media elite who will then support the new Vice President and her plan when she rolls out Medicare For All (or its equivalent).
