Completely agree with Lex. Education is basically right behind food and healthcare in terms of essential services, and teachers should be considered essential employees. A short disruption in the fall was sub-optimal but acceptable under the circumstances. A prolonged disruption runs the risk of doing irreparable damage to a lot of kids, particularly those who were underprivileged, but even the most dedicated families cannot replicate the environment of being at school.
