At least he walked the walk.   He told his citizens it was not a big deal and then walked around Brazil as if it was not a big deal without a bunch of behind the scenes testing before meeting people.   It had to catch up to him at some point, but at least he was a real world model for the behavior he wanted his citizens to embrace.

I watch a correspondent in a Brazilian city on one network and it seemed that 95+% of the people that walked behind him had face masks on.  Some were like scared into complying with Brazilian health and WHO recommendations.   Silver lining, if you will.
