I could see the NBA playing a season and playoffs if they made the bubble in Hawaii.

Take the players, coaches, trainers and families, quarantine 14 days after arriving, live for 5 months in paradise while earning millions of dollars.  

I think it’s unwise to put all your eggs in the vaccine basket. An “effective” vaccine might be only 30-60% effective at first, some might be better than others, and if 40-60% are anti-vaxxers or slow, cautious vaxxers, the “nothing until there is a vaccine” route could mean no football until 2022 or 2023.
