I'm inclined to agree with Teejers. Moreover, it is possible that if a lot of high profile athletes test positive but don't get severe disease, that it could have the opposite message, reinforcing the idea that the virus is not dangerous (or at least not dangerous for some people).
I think it would probably take the death or at least severe illness of a high profile, young, otherwise healthy individual for it to really be a "game changer".
