I would add heavier use of public transportation and reliance on shared occupancy rooms/offices with HVAC systems. Much of the bay area lacks AC, way fewer people use public transportation these days, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold to stay outside or keep the window open. LA in July and NYC/NJ in March are not great for open windows and no central air/heat.
