Are they willing to negotiate? If not they have no chance. They need two things immediately. One is solidarity and the other is labor help from the outside in the form of advisers who have spent their careers in labor negotiations. Somebody like Marvin Miller.

I imagine some schools are terrified but Stanford doesn’t need athletics. There is so much going on in medicine and science and there is no shortage of high school apps.
Self funded club sports will give kids activities to round out their education along with a healthy intramural system.
