Such vitriol for the athletes who are trying to get a slice of the pie because they are the ones putting their (mostly Black) bodies on the line for the (mostly white) multimillionaire coaches while the (mostly white) wealthy boosters cheer for more. Can't you hear yourselves as you chant "let's keep the system the same and keep them in their place"? I agree that they are entitled...they are entitled to fight for what they believe in and stop being treated like chattel. And to the point that most of them couldn't get in to college but for football...why don't you ask why that is? As if grades and test scores were the definitive measure of talent, intelligence and potential.

Stanford and some private P5 schools could pivot to an Ivy League model, but for the top 20-30 P5 schools that is not likely to be a realistic option.
