This is really close to home for me.  My parents' house in Cupertino is close to the evacuation area. Our rapidly changing climate (Arctic ice melt, Siberia record heat wave exposing permafrost, the earliest named hurricanes, the Australian fires, the derecho in Iowa last week, record heat in Death Valley in August, and on and on) is going to make our lives really difficult.
