I take this as a tiny bit of good news, a reversal of the disturbing news from a few weeks ago that the White House was taking over the Covid data. I worried then (along with a lot of others) that it was an attempt to take political control over information in order to fudge the data downwards to benefit the president's campaign for reelection. I'm relieved to see that move reversed and data back to the CDC. 

Did I miss something along the way?
