The presenter talks about how the fire is going to reset the forest and clean out lots of the undergrowth for years to come. It may be making a virtue of necessity, but it sure sounds like he believes it. This points to the real benefitsof thinning the forest to eliminate undergrowth and dead trees in a less destructive way. Pretty timely.
