The "ACT/SAT not being used" announcement from Stanford came months later than the announcements from our usual recruiting competition. Major disadvantage in 2021 and many recruits dropped from our board due to the uncertainty (they committed elsewhere and stuck). Oh, and the whole "going 4-8 with a dozen players in the transfer portal" thing.
I'm not sure about 2022 but I believe standardized testing cancellation/removal from consideration is a factor in the larger number of offers.
