I listen to the medical experts. I could care less what some athlete says. 

I don't generally like to listen to athletes, and that's based purely upon my direct experience with them.  Most of them, to me, have a much higher ego combined with less intelligence, less common sense, less general inquisitiveness and less openness to new ideas or concepts.
