Yeah, I quoted it out of sentiment. The bottom line is that patina of legitimacy to the argument that the NCAA uses to not pay players a salary (that the student athletes are amateurs) looks incredibly thin now that their actions have betrayed how they otherwise act like it is a professional league. You can tell that football is categorically different by the way it is treated differently than other fall sports and by the extraordinary resources that are being expended to get college football up and running.
It is disgusting.
