Well, the Phillies just lost a double header to the Nats, dropping them to 26-28. The Brewers beat the Reds to my surprise. If the Giants win tonight they are still alive, but in-division record is the #1 tie-breaker, and Giants have the worst among the contenders, so they must finish 1 game better than everyone else.

Giants win 5-2.  Stanford's Slater got on base five times, going 2-2 with three walks, his 8th stolen base and an HR.  Joey Bart, 2 doubles, Belt a pinch hit double and almost hit a very long home run.  Dickerson HR.  Smyly pitched great.  Defense was terrific. Daniel Robertson, normally a shortstop, was in left field. Hampson hit a ball headed for the corner, Robertson cut it off, threw a rope to 2B, threw out the speedy Hampson. Giants now 27-27, tied with Milwaukee.  Coonrod got the save with two strikeouts, and about 1/2 dozen 100 mph pitches.
