I don't think it provides a clear answer. But you can gauge her mindset. It may be the case that other things are more important to her now than basketball.

You're right.  It may be . . . It's rather interesting that only Bob is speaking with supposed certainty here - I've presented my "pause" as speculative (though not without some basis).
