Boulder has now prohibited gatherings of any size for people 18 to 22 years old. This will prohibit the CU team from any activities, including practice. Won't the team just go to Denver or Aurora or some other nearby city to practice? Of course, this also means no home games for CU until the order is lifted.

This piqued my curiosity to see how bad the Covid-19 stats look in Boulder currently.  The 5-day average for new cases in Boulder County is 139, and the population is only 326,000, so they are currently seeing 43 new cases per 100,000 per day.  For perspective, that's about 6 times worse than we're seeing in Santa Clara County right now. 

Below is a picture that tells the story.  This probably belongs on the Covid board now, although I think developments like this may have a direct bearing on the Pac-12's decision meeting today.  These sort of outbreaks are inevitably going to happen in some Pac-12 locations and among some teams during any form of a football season; if the conference is not comfortable working around these issues, postponing some games, having some teams play while others don't, etc., they should just skip the season.  It's definitely going to be impossible to conduct a season without significant disruptions right now, as we're seeing in all the other conferences, even in places where local restrictions are super loose.
