Jumping all-in on any emerging therapy is consistent with that style. Doesn't mean the early bet will be better, but it could. The odds are good it will work out in the end IMHO. Presumably any yet to be discovered adverse event associated with the approach could be tackled quickly by his team of physicians.
Most patients will not have access to 24/7 on-site medical care, so the risks of any therapy relative to the benefits will be weighed differently.
