What's the come down like when the Dex wears off?

The reaction to steroids is very variable.  Some people don't feel it, others get a bit jumpy (have trouble sleeping, for example), and occasionally you have people go into a full on psychosis (I had one patient do that and it was downright scary).  As long as patients aren't on for long enough to suppress their native steroid production (and a five day course of dexamethasone is not long enough), then the symptoms go away when you stop the treatment.  I have not seen patients develop a withdrawal from that short a course.
