As of today, 288 people lost their jobs for every person who died from COVID.
People who have lost their jobs can get them back. Dying is permanent, with current medical technology at least.
And of course as has been pointed out ad nauseum, "reopening" by a government does not save jobs when consumers prefer to stay home.
