Deaths due to COVID-19 are all the deaths that happen where the patient would have continued to be alive but for the fact that they got COVID-19. In that case, a patient with cancer (even one with a poor prognosis) who contracts COVID-19 and dies because of respiratory failure due to COVID is considered a COVID death.
The motorcycle accident would be conisdered a death where COVID-19 is not the primary cause.

If COVID-19 is in question 32, Part I, then it would be considered a cause of death.
If COVID-19 is in Question 32, Part II, then it would not be considered a cause of death.
