He is definitely a “Farhan kinda guy” - coming off injuries, big-time upside, reasonable cost, and, of course, left-handed. He is a Gausman/Smyly type of pitcher. Pay him a few million, watch him flourish and flip him in July for high value prospects.

Don’t disagree with you often, but I do on Wood. Doesn’t have near the stuff of Smyly. Not to mention Gausman. Funky delivery, so he’s deceptive. He’s had two good years - 2014 and 2017. Otherwise meh to bad. Doesn’t eat innings. Injury prone. Obviously it depends on the cost. But I would not give him close to what Atlanta gave Smyly. (Realize you aren’t suggesting he’s worth 11 for a year)
