Got bad news for you Phogge, Belt is going nowhere. Heck, if he has another good season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is re-signed to a short term deal at the end of the season.
22 first basemen are rated by batting stats. If Belt had enough ABs, he'd be #2 in MLB, based on his 1.015 OPS in 2020 (only Freddie Freeman was higher). He finished 16th in NL MVP voting. Had he played 153 games instead of 51, he'd be a 40 2B/27 HR/90 RBI guy. I'd rather we kept Belt for the time being. Farhan's/Kapler's coaches seemed to have worked batting miracles on the starters, particularly Belt. He's become the first baseman we hoped he'd be.
