As much as I would like to see Stanford play football, and as much as I doubt doing so contributes measurably to the spread of COVID-19, I think you have to shut it down for the year. Stanford is part of the community and has to abide by the regulations, even though it sucks for the athletes.
Wonder what that means for the 49ers?
