Not ridiculous at all, Spiny. Sports provide some normalcy and a much needed “escape” from the horrors of the day. Mental health matters. And to those of us who are big sports fans, the games help. They always have. Especially now.
So I don’t feel guilty at all watching the games. And I am incredibly thankful for those that are playing them and providing us with this needed respite.

WBB should relocate. It is unfortunate that they have to do so and costly to the school and, yes, harder to follow Covid 19 protocols than if they stayed home. Yet I think the players who have dedicated so much work to this season deserve a chance to play. No one should be made to coach or play if she is uncomfortable doing so. But they should have the opportunity .
There is also a learning experience here; they now have a visceral understanding of the hardships faced by families who can’t work at home. Overcoming those hardships is a part of ‘learning’ .
Not an easy decision to be sure and not one without risk. Doing nothing, though, has its own price.
