I've always found it interesting where the demarkation falls between how we treat religion and how we treat other things we treasure, say like football.

The SEC contends there is no demarcation.

BTW, for reasons I don't have time to go into, the board automatically changes the word h*ge to "brobdingnagian".  You can blame the Stanford/Texas game back in 1999 for that.
