Guess we are a basketball school again.

Cart way before the horse there. Lots of milestones that haven't been met:
- Punch a ticket to the Big Dance at least 2-3 years in a row
- Content for a conference title
- Make the Sweet Sixteen

Indications are positive, but calling Stanford a basketball school is a lot like giving Obama the Nobel Peace Prize in his first year in office.

My declaration was also I guess a too thinly veiled comment on the state of the football program.  

Schools tend to be one or the other.  For a variety of reasons, it's hard to be great at both at the same time.  UF is the only program that I can think of was national champions in both sports in the same year.
