Is UW just a good match-up for Stanford? Stanford has now won 10 of the last 13 over the Huskies. A win over a ranked UW team was the highlight of last season too. We thought maybe Stanford had turned a corner when it upset UW but then the Cardinal lost 5 of the last 6.
Stanford played a near perfect game offensively. The last drive to eat up the final 7:30+ of the 4Q was vintage and a thing of beauty. And yet, and yet - Stanford needed all of that to happen to just barely hang on for the W because the defense, while better the last two weeks, is still unreliable. Their improvement will determine how much better Stanford can be.
