The thing is, how are they going to judge break dancing?  There are so many different styles.  This invites the kind of subjective judging that has plagued the Olympics in recent decades.  Just ask Roy Jones, Jr.

I mean if they treat it like figure skating by imposing a compulsory routine (e.g., enter with a moon walk to a basic toprock for 1 minute finishing a spindle, transitioning to five 360 degree back spins elevating into a triple head spin, finishing with and elbow freeze) it will take the funk out of the art form.

If they allow freeform dancing, will they favor b-boying over electric boogaloo?  It is so subjective.  B-girl Kastet from Russia and B-boy Shigekix from Japan won the 17th edition of the prestigious Red Bull BC One World 2020 Breakdance competition in Salzburg a few weeks ago.  Who knows, we might see Les Twins or Hilty and Bosch come out of retirement.
