If you find yourself on the 101 instead of the 5, make sure you stop at the Firestone Grill in San Luis Obispo.  Superb tri-tip, ribs, etc.

Thanks for the tip on the tri-tip.  I will check it out the next time I'm driving down 101 instead of 5.  There is no needless, wordy "the" when heading South.  ;-)
