Looks like Stanford's football team is practicing at La Playa Stadium on the Santa Barbara City College campus:

For those who have never been, SBCC is across Cabrillo Blvd. from the waterfront. The football stadium has stands on the inland side only, so one can view concurrently football, Stearns Wharf, the harbor, ocean-going vessels in the Santa Barbara Channel and Santa Cruz Island (and other islands if it's particulary clear). For casual dining on the sand, I recommend Shoreline Cafe.

Nothing against Corvallis, but this is a well-deserved upgrade for the football team!

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
