I heard from an ICU nurse on my shift today that the military was actually already preparing to assist at UCLA. Could just be a rumor, but it would not be a surprise.

WESTERVELT: California also has requested federal help, including 200 Department of Defense medical workers, and state emergency officials are actively seeking hospital help from Australia and Taiwan.

Perhaps some of those 200 DOD workers.
