I'm roughly on the same page, but here's mine:
- 11-game regular season
- All conferences play 8 conference games.
- OOC games: Maximum 1 FCS opponent. Maximum 1 G5 opponent for P5 teams
- 8-team playoff
- All P5 conference champions get an automatic bid
- Top two G5 conference champions get an automatic bid
- One at-large bid
I could go with just one G5 conference champion and two at-large bids
Based on this year, the teams would be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Cincinnati, San Jose State, and (likely) Texas A&M
