That was a much better 2nd quarter.  Arizona was playing sagging man, clogging the paint, forcing us to shoot from outside and taking away Belibi, for the most part.  Once our rain of threes began--we were 6/9--then the Arizona defense began to loosen. 

Very nice to see Prechtel shooting with confidence, and to see Jump doing so much better.  Although Jump got stuck on a couple of switches on Ari McDonald and could not defend her.  But who can?

We also started the first quarter with 3 turnovers, but would up with 8 for the half.  Not great, but better.

But here is the real story.  We have 29 rebounds.  Arizona has 13.

We are shooting 48%.  They are shooting 19%.

I doubt that this game will continue in this way.  Arizona will play better in the second half, and we will need to keep up the intensity and not let things slip.  True national championship caliber teams would pour it on and not let Arizona back in the game.  We shall see if that description fits us.
