I, for one, would like to see the rule changed that awards a free throw to a player that leaps, off-course, into another player while driving for a shot. Aari McDonald does it frequently, so does one of her teammates. The other player that used to do this, ad nauseam, was Kelsey Plum, and, of course, the pros do it and get away with it all the time.

It ought to be a charge. If any player veers off course to cause contact with another player in any other situation on the court, they would be called for a foul. This kind of maneuver cheapens the game in my opinion.

Agreed.  And especially agree about Plum.

The issue that I think of is who initiates/causes contact, such as the one player being called for a foul because her neck contacted the offensive player's swinging arms.  Jumping into another player is an example of that.   Another similar rule I'd like to see is banning throwing the ball intentionally into an opponent (whether to bounce the ball out of bounds, to cause in-bounds contact (while inbounding the ball), of to injure a player (one Cal post comes to mind).  (You can't hit someone with a chair but there is no specific rule against throwing the ball into a player's face.)

Some notable bad calls I've seen this year:  In Friday's game, a female ref made an out-of-bounds call apparently because the heel of one of the Hull twins was above the side line, even though she didn't touch the side line. (Her pivot foot was inside the court.  With her heel up, she pivoted and her heel was above the side line, but did not touch anything outside the playing area.  "on or above" applies to the circle under the basket and the lower defensive box, but not for out of bounds.)

In other games, I saw two back court calls that were missed.  In Saturday's men's game, there was a very long travel (from one side of the lane to the other) that was missed.
