1 year 3 Million. With up to 3 Million on incentives based on getting 10 outs.....  That’s a sorry commentary on today’s starting pitchers....

Typical Farhan move.  Low risk decent potential upside. Never been a fan.  But he’s had some good years. And some bad and injured ones. At least they now have a lefty in the rotation.

The “10 out” provision protects Wood from being the second guy in after an opener.  The old notion of incentives based on starts can now be found in the dumpster.  

I had a feeling they would sign Wood.  He is has some history with Farhan.  I like the move - lots of upside; very little downside.  As you noted - a typical Farhan move....

I get that.  (Although I hope the whole opener garbage dies away quickly).  But how bout innings incentives?  10 outs. Seriously..  Gee I went 3 1/3 gave up 5 runs.  But that’s another $100,000.
