I use a Linux desktop, so my answer is probably different from other people who've done this.
I added support for free Pac-12.com streams to the app youtube-dl. I haven't submitted my changes upstream yet, though, so only I have them right now. This app connects to the web site like a browser would but saves the stream to a file instead of displaying it. More information on the app is at https://youtube-dl.org/.
Another kind of approach involves running a screen recorder app that can make a video of whatever is happening on your computer screen. I am not sure how good the quality of the result would be. I tried one of those a while back and it seemed okay, but I didn't really trust it to capture a whole game. (See the other posts above about that. I wrote this post before seeing those.)
