We win 83-58 after we dominated the fourth quarter 23-6. Our shooting stayed hot and theirs didn't. After staying close and at times outpacing our overall shooting average, Oregon State dipped to below 40% shooting from the floor while ours hovered right below 50%.
Jerome and Jump were a combined 9/14 for 25 points off the bench while Haley was an efficient 8/12 for 17 points to lead scoring for our team and also had a double-double with 10 rebounds. She can demonstrate the elite talent she has scoring, but she just needs to make a couple better decisions and cut down on the turnovers, but our team only committed 5 of them all game long, which was superb.
Kiana was 7/18 for 16 points, but she also made great passing decisions as evident by her 8 assists. Cameron didn't play much, but had an efficient 5/7 evening. Lexie was 2/10 (a couple of those misses were unlucky; halfway down and then popped out) and 0/4 from inside the arc. I wish she wouldn't go for as many drives as she does and adopt more of Kiana's mantra to stop and go for that midrange.
I think we switched defenders on Goforth in the second half and she couldn't elbow off of our player as easily as she did in the first half. Anna did a good job defending Goodman, who had 12 points, but needed 16 shots to get them.
Oregon State has great shooters and can score in bunches, but if they go cold and there's a good defender on Taylor Jones, they don't have another post player to turn to. The Beavers would be that more dangerous if they got another elite post prospect to complement their quality guards and wings.
