I think Oregon took better advantage of that until the bitter end, when we had to be very aggressive on defense and were. I think the zone bothered us more than anything, that and Oregon being so hot from three. Williams was very good. She dibbled into trouble a few times but hard to blame her when nothing else was really working on offense and she had to make something happen or try to. Brink was fine in the big minutes but I do think she got doubled more in the second half, which made her a bit more hesitant to make her moves. Defense was ok. We let them get too many threes. Oregon is very tough when they hit threes (most teams are, I know) because they can space the floor so much and have good inside players. they did make some contested threes.
Lexie really help late with rebounds, steals, kept them from extending the lead when they snuck ahead. I would assume Lacie was in for Anna just for more size and length on defense out there. Hope Anna is ok from the fall she took. She did play after that so I think she probably is ok.
Way too many turnovers. Some was on the refs, who called no fouls so everyone piled on for tie ups.
Two things concern me most of all. Well three I guess. First is the zone offense needs a lot of work and fast. Second is we need more from other posts than Brink. Belibi has disappeared after playing well for half the season. Some is Brink playing well and taking playing time, some seems to be a slump. We need her back playing well and we need Prechtel back so we have a strong rotation. Third is we need Jones to be less Jekyll and Hyde. When she doesn't turn the ball over she can be amazing, but she has too many avoidable turnovers and when she gets in TO mode, her offense evaporates. She is too talented to have that many unforced errors and/or forced shots at bad times.
All in all, big road win against a very good team that was hot from three, which is their forte, so can't complain too much, though losing that big lead was painful.
I agree on your points; it will be nice to have our post depth back. We were lucky that Brink did not get into foul trouble
