Rewatching the game this morning (in English). The refs are so darned inconsistent. A few seasons back, if you told me they were going to play mug'em ball and Missy was one of the refs, I'd take that as a bonus (even accounting for head-scratching whistles on batting ones eyelashes sto hard). This season (and last, perhaps the last two?), it's just ugly, but also inconsistent. Is there no training, accountability, or what?  Many of these refs are into their third decade of stripe-wearing and have gotten worse.

True, but in my view, it's an improvement when Missy doesn't end up making a foul call that decides the outcome. We've had so many games where the whistle (hers particularly) suddenly appears in the last minute of the game. But also, Brink seems to have that Tim Young problem where she gets called for being in the general vicinity.
